About The Creative Law Shop
The Creative Law Shop is the creative entrepreneur's online destination for attorney-drafted, industry-reviewed legal contract templates and educational resources.
Founded by Paige Hulse, a practicing contract litigator, CLS exists to help creative business owners confidently do the work they love—with legally sound resources, without the hourly rate. Our templates are detailed, nuanced, and built from real courtroom experience. We're not here to scare anyone into anything. We're here to provide protection, preparation, and peace of mind
The Role
We're looking for a Strategic Partnerships Lead to build and lead our new Licensing Program from the ground up.
You'll work directly with founder Paige Hulse to identify, pitch, and close licensing deals with membership owners, course creators, and service providers who want to offer CLS contract templates to their clients or students.
The ideal candidate is someone who wants to build our Licensing Program and Partnership playbook from the ground up. You'll have autonomy to shape how we approach partnerships, create sales materials, manage the CRM (we use Dubsado), and build systems that scale. Your work will directly expand how creative entrepreneurs access the legal protection they need.
What you'll do:
Build and manage a pipeline of qualified licensing leads
Conduct outreach (including cold outreach) to potential partners
Create sales materials including email sequences, pitch decks, and proposal templates
Set up and manage our CRM system to track leads through the entire sales cycle
Close licensing deals with membership owners, course creators, and service providers
Manage ongoing relationships with licensing partners
Collaborate with Paige to refine our partnership strategy and offerings
Success Milestones
First 90 Days
Understand CLS products, positioning, and ideal partners inside and out
Work closely with Paige to close deals currently in the pipeline
Create core sales materials and establish your outreach process
Set up CRM infrastructure for lead and client management
Begin building your own pipeline of licensing opportunities
By 6 Months
Consistently hit or exceed your quarterly quota
Have a robust, self-generated pipeline of qualified leads
Established processes and systems that can scale
Ready to take on expanded responsibilities within the partnership ecosystem
By Year 1
Potential to transition into Director of Partnerships role
Possibly hire support to help scale the program
Oversee the partnership programs you've built
Who You Are
You likely have:
Successfully run your own business and understand what business owners actually need
Proven sales experience with a track record you're proud of (corporate or entrepreneurial)
Deep familiarity with the creative and online business space—you know this world
Experience using CRMs to manage leads and relationships (Dubsado experience is a plus, but adaptability matters more)
A natural inclination to take initiative—comfortable with cold outreach and driving deals forward independently
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bonus: Digital marketing skills to create compelling materials and support partners
You definitely have:
Genuine integrity—no fear tactics, no overselling, no pushing people into bad-fit deals
Ability to manage multiple deals and relationships simultaneously
A personable, relationship-first approach to sales
Self-motivation and comfort working independently
Care for the mission—helping creative entrepreneurs build protected, sustainable businesses
Compensation & Time Commitment
This is a commission-based contractor role structured around quarterly quotas.
What to expect
Time commitment: Part-time to start (approximately 15-20 hours/week), with flexibility to scale up as you build momentum
Deal volume: Quarterly Quota is based on closing 1-4 deals per month
Earnings potential: When you hit your quarterly quota working part-time hours, you'll earn $4,500+ over those 3 months, with additional bonus opportunities
Upside: If you want to work more and close more deals, you can earn significantly more
We use a tiered commission structure that rewards higher performance, plus origination bonuses for deals you source yourself.
The quarterly structure gives you runway to onboard and build your pipeline while earning higher commissions.
